She must face old ghosts, which include Riley, her high school sweetheart. Tucker, the boy who saved her that night, and Trent, the boy who ruined her life.

THE AUTHOR:

My name is Beverley, though most people call me Bev. I live in Dublin, Ireland with my husband, my two sons and my dog Alfie.

I released my first book, Forever and Always in December 2012. I have since released 10 more books, including two series. Beautifully Unfinished is my 12th release.

THE REVIEW:

I received this book as a ARC, in exchange for an honest review; and that's what you will get!!!
I give this "Beautifully Unfinished" book 5 stars because:

I always look forward to reading a book by Bev, because they NEVER disappoint me. I have read every book she has written, and there was not one that got a rating below 5 stars.
With that being said, here is my review.
I truly absolutely loved this book, love, love, loved it. Did I mention that I loved this book? Ok, you get the picture now.
As always, since Bev has written a blurb, and has a few teasers for you, there is no need for me to explain what the book is about, I'll just give you my run down, because I don't want to get to carried away and tell you the whole story.
The characters are all well developed and it’s easy for the reader to see each of their motivations.  Despite there being quite a market for futuristic dystopian-esque books this one is unique enough to stand out and will keep readers engaged.
All the characters are interesting as their personalities are revealed.  Also, in this world no one is really ever safe, which makes the outcome all the more real.
This story is captivating, but it would have lost something if it was stretched out for any longer than one novel; and with Bev knowing how much I rather stand-alones, I am forever grateful that she asked me to read this before it was published.

Trent -- a B-I-G ~~~ a-hole. Can't stand him, despise him, he should be cut up with a dull knife, and slowly have lemon juice poured over him, then hung by his ball bag. So yep, not a fan of him at all. So no more time wasted on him, that's all I have to say about that douche!

Lucy-- Love Lucy, she is such a strong, brave, and beautiful young lady, who has been through hell and back, but still keeps going. Although she would do anything to forget her past, it is hard for her to trust again, she eventually will. She has done well for herself, better than most would.

April--didn't get to know her much, but from what I did, she also was a strong young lady, who wished she would have done things different, either way- it probably wouldn't have mattered. I still liked her.

Alison--such a cute, spirited young lady who became a victim just for being someone's good friend. She to is a strong young lady, and thankfully has a great guy David by her side to help her and be there for her along her future roads through life. Wish I could always be as joyful as her, lol

Riley-- Well at first I thought he was awesome. Then I thought he was an a$$, then I started thinking "what a frickin" creeper, then I thought wow finally gonna do something, then I thought OMG-poor thing, then I thought well, he has come to realize what is best, and supports it, and he could really be a great guy, for someone.

Tucker-- Yes I have saved the best for last.
OMG- where can I find me a Tucker? lol
Now he is truly by far one of the most genuine people you will read about; through and through.
He had me at "Hi there". :)
I think that he is such a dream, great guy, handsome, and HOT, patient, protective, dependable, determined, strong, loving, and goddess of a man, that any woman with a pulse would want to have in her life. He was like a light in shinning armor. Even his name was perfect. I just adored him, his honesty and commitment to whatever he did. He was a one of a kind. I could go on all day about Tucker, but the book wasn't just about him, although I did have to give him a little bit of glory.

The book was beautifully & well-written and had some memorable characters.
My advise, is to read it slow and savior it like the finest milk chocolate you ever sunk your teeth in. Me - on the other hand got greedy and couldn't get through it fast enough.
Hope you enjoy "Beautifully Unfinished" as much as I did.

Thank you Bev for your friendship, and trust in me, with another one of your prize possessions. You truly ROCK!!!!
And, now I add to my bucket list a chance to meet you in person!!

ALWAYS AND FOREVER

ALWAYS AND FOREVER
by: Harper Bentley

SYNOPSIS:

Does wanting to slap the hell out of Brody Kelly make me a bad person? How about setting his hair on fire?

No, I'm not a psycho.

Yes, I AM angry.

See, a year ago, my sweet and sexy firefighter boyfriend and I broke up over something extremely ridiculous. We'd been together since we were sophomores in high school, but that was the end of that. Almost twelve years of that, mind you.

The looks he gives me tell me he still wants me. Our latest encounter has me thinking he's trying to win me back.

But I'm not willing to give in so easily.

I don't know why he used our argument as an excuse to break up, but I'm going to find out. I've lived in Serenity Point all my life and have connections and I’m not afraid to use them to get to the bottom of things.

What I am afraid of is finding something I won’t be able to handle.

He used to call me his Always and Forever.

But the secrets he’s keeping might tear us apart for good.

EXCERPT:

He’s ignored me when we’ve passed each other on the street, seemingly content in not even acknowledging my presence even though I’ve caught him staring at me every other time but always from a distance.
And now he says he misses me. And he says it on the day I didn’t tear up when I saw him and hoped it meant I was finally getting over him.
And now I’m chewing on my thumbnail, damn it.
I lower my arm and feel my hands ball into fists at my sides gritting my teeth because I want to bash his friggin’ face in then yell at him or vice versa. Either works. But then I remember myself, remember that I’m in my store and that anyone could come through the door at any time and I wouldn’t want to lose business because I’ve turned into a raging bitch. I breathe in deeply through my nose and let it out trying to calm myself which works for the moment. “You miss me…” I state quietly, my eyes narrowed as they remain locked on his.
I see his jaw muscles jump as he stares back at me. Then he nods slowly.
Well, this is just too much.
I huff out a laugh, putting my hands on my hips. “I think it might be too late, Brody,” I state a little snottily, seeing his eyes go hard upon hearing that. Whatever.
“What’re you saying, Piper?”
I shrug nonchalantly although every muscle in my body is tight. “I saw you walking to Mags’ earlier and to be honest, I felt nothing. After more than a year of wanting to cry every time I saw you, today that didn’t happen.” I shrug again to get the point across even as my heart’s beating a hundred miles an hour in my chest.

THE AUTHOR:

Harper Bentley has taught high school English for 22 years. Although she’s managed to maintain her sanity regardless of her career choice, jumping into the world of publishing her own books goes to show that she might be closer to the ledge than was previously thought.
After traveling the nation in her younger years as a military brat, having lived in Alaska, Washington State and California, she now resides in Oklahoma with her teenage daughter, two dogs and one cat, happily writing stories that she hopes her readers will enjoy.

MY REVIEW:

I received this book as an ARC, in exchange for an honest review.
I give this book 5 stars.
I enjoyed all the characters, the writing, the story line, the beginning, the end, the middle, the love, the hate, the bad, the ugly, the truth, the end!!!

I hurry and read "Big As The Sky" first, because I am so ADD about reading book two before one, lol.
I absolutely loved that one, and all those characters, so I knew I would love Always and Forever, which also had me familiar with all the characters, which of course is something else that I have to have.

My reviews aren't always that fabulous, you won't ever find any of my reviews explaining what the whole book is about, for the simple fact, that's why the author writes a synopsis. Also most of the reviews I read do the same thing, so I try not to consume to much of your time; but at the same time making sure you get the gist of it.

With all that crap being sad, here are some of my feelings on this book.

Haters: Peyton & Hannah!
You will see why when you read this book, not giving anything away here.

Love: Brody, Piper, Kade, Amelia, Greer & Ryan.

They are all awesome. Ryan is a hoot, she will keep you laughing through out the entire book.
Greer, is great, the kind of sister I would love to have.
Kade is, well he is Kade, and will always be a dream.
Piper, she is a wonderful woman, who has herself together, and her heart on her sleeve, which in her defense, I would be the same. She is a successful business woman, beautiful inside and out.

Brody, ahhhhhh Brodyyyyyy!!!!
Well like his brother, he has it all, looks, body, great package, muscle, looks, body, great package. O right, I said that ;)
And besides the great stuff, he also knows what he wants, and knows how to treat his woman. One thing is certain, he takes care of her needs pretty well, if you get me. And well, we all know how important that is, right?!!!!

Brody & Piper together - well they were meant to be together. Like America's #1 couple, together.
They know each other's body's very well, also each other's heart, and of course that is an important factor in any relationship. And since they had that, well, that would be why there bedroom performances were not lacking.

As I approached the last pages of this book, I started getting all sad, and mad. If that even makes since. I just didn't want it to end, it could have went on another 300 pages, and I would have been all, awww puppy dogs and rainbows. lol

I greatly enjoyed this read. I will also be looking for other books in this series, and also by this author.

Thank you for your trust in the ARC.

MY REVIEW:

I received this book as an ARC, in exchange for an honest review.

I give this book 5 stars.

I ab-so-frickin-lutley LOVED this book!!!!

Of course it didn't surprise me that I loved it so much, because I haven't found anything yet that I didn't enjoy by Beverley Hollowed.I am not even sure where to start. It's like the inside of my head is like a roller coaster, moving so fast, I just can't keep up with it. I got sucked into the story line so fast, I didn't even know anything around me was existing. Not in any specific order:

Jamie- this was one amazing nurse, whom if something ever happen to me, I want a nurse like her. She was caring, understanding, loving, and became friend material, quick!

The Caldwell's - Amazing people, all of them. They were so gracious, supportive, friendly, and some of the ,most giving people you can know. I just adored them!!!

Scarlet - I loved her from beginning to end, and admire her strength, her courage, to go through what she did, and knowing how terrified she must have been. She was very determined, which is what saved her from falling to pieces. She was so lost and alone, are thought she was. Which I will get to that later. I am just startled that it took her family 2 frickin months to find her, like really. The first place I would have looked would have been the hospital are police station. How you can go two months, with absolutely no contact is beside me! SO, thanks to there lack in caring, it helped her find someone that she deserved whole-heartedly. Beth- I don't care for her, I like Scarlet better :)Detective Oliver Caldwell - ahhh....sigh....I just want to jump in the book and grab him! He is every woman's dreams. and even has the perfect family. This is one of those incidents that you hear "in the right place at the right time", um yeah, that's what happen with Oliver. He was so committed from the moment he stopped that car. What an amazing guy.Oliver, was just unbelievable, incredible, stunning, handsome, loving, attentive, loyal, passionate, tender, and maybe a tad bit infatuated. But being one of the most devoted men you can know, is what helped Scarlet survive. Oliver was awesome, and knew what Scarlet needed before she did. The lake house what a great idea. What an awesome view. Who wouldn't love the butterfly garden. As usual I never say what the story is about, I like to leave you wondering and curious, because I want you to have the same experience I did. An Amazing one :)The end of the book was swoon worthy. It was perfect.

Thank you Beverley for your trust in me with the ARC. I will always be truly grateful for the friendship we established over the years through books. You have a talent that I envy. Maybe one day you will be proofing my book, lol. It's on my bucket list, and was always a dream, to write/publish my own book.

BEAT
by: VI KEELAND

SYNOPSIS:
Dimpled smile of a boy
Hard body of a man
Sings like an angel
Fucks like the devil

I was stuck between a rock(star) and a hard place.

At fifteen, his poster hung on my bedroom wall. At twenty-five his body hovered over mine. Every girl’s fantasy became my reality. I was dating a rockstar. Yet I was slowly falling for another man. The problem was—the two men—they shared a tour bus.

Flynn Beckham was the opening act.
Dylan Ryder was the headliner.

What happens when the opening act begins to shine so bright, it seems to dim everything else in its wake?

I’ll tell you what happens. Things get ugly.

EXCERPT 1:

Despite the fact that Lucky had just casually mentioned that the lobby lounge serves coffee beginning at six a.m., I’m pretty sure of myself that she’ll be down there.  But when I step off the elevator, the lobby is quiet.  Empty.  The coffee urns are just being set up in the lounge.  I pour two mugs, make them just as we like it, and settle on one of the couches on the far side of the room where it’s private, yet I can still keep an eye on the door.
I grab a newspaper and begin to flip through to kill time.  Then my eyes catch a pair of pink-painted toes in flip-flops.  I don’t know why, but it’s in this moment that I realize, I’m fucked.
The sight of her toes makes me smile.
I’m falling for another guy’s girl.  Something I promised myself I’d never do.
But then I reason with myself.  I haven’t done anything wrong.  Thinking a woman is beautiful and spending time with her doesn’t have to turn into anything, right?  They’re just toes after all.  But look how cute they are.  I’ve never been a foot guy, yet I wouldn’t mind sucking…  Stop.  Just stop.  We’re just friends.
Because I’ve been friends with so many hot women in the past and not fucked them?  Yep.  I’m screwed.  I need to get the hell out of here.
“Good morning,” she whispers and smiles down at me.  My eyes lazily travel up from her toes.
I’m totally not going anywhere.
I hold up her mug of coffee.  And then I realize she still has the thin shirt she wears to sleep on and I’m eye-level with the sexiest taut nipples I’ve ever seen.
Screw sucking her toes… “Certainly is.”  I grin.

EXCERPT 2:

Ten minutes later I’m still alone behind the bar and Avery is nowhere to be found.  I’m sure she’s in the back alley smoking, even though she swears every day that she’s quit.  I check the IDs of three very young-looking pretty girls—they’re over twenty-one, but barely.  I can’t miss their conversation.

“Seriously, he has to be gay.”
“Why, because he hasn’t noticed you yet?”
“No, because he’s too perfect to be straight.”
“Could we buy someone a drink?” one of the young blondes asks me.
“Of course.  What do you want me to send over?”
They giggle for a few minutes, then decide on a Screaming Orgasm for their intended target.  I mix the vodka, Bailey’s and Kahlua and pour it over a tumbler of ice.
“Okay.  Who’s the lucky recipient?”
All three of them point to the other end of the bar and say in unison, “Him.”
Lord.  That is one beautiful man.
The three blondes were clearly not the only ones to notice.  The brunette next to him with her full boobage on display is giving him her rapt attention when I walk over.  Yet I feel his eyes on me as I walk down the long bar.  I’m used to being hit on.  Men seem to find an attractive woman whose sole purpose is to deliver them alcohol an alluring combination.  They tend to become even bolder after tossing back a few drinks.
Halfway down the bar, I stop to refill a beer for a patron.  I don’t need to look up as I pour to know Beautiful Man is still watching me.  The hair on the back of my neck is all the confirmation I need.  He never takes his gaze off me, even when I turn, catch his eyes, and silently call him on his staring.
“I’m here to deliver you a Screaming Orgasm.”  Damn, he’s even hotter up close.  Sandy-brown, shoulder-length hair tousled just the right amount to make him look like he’s just gotten laid.  Long, lean torso, tattoos on his forearms peeking out from his long-sleeve fitted shirt.  Nice.  Then he smiles.  Dimples.  Yep.  He definitely just got laid.
“Thank you.  But I have a ladies-first policy.”  He winks.
I stare at him for a moment, then drop my eyes down to the drink, leading him to follow.
“Oh.  You meant the drink.” He smirks—it’s sexy as hell, and he knows it.
I roll my eyes, but there’s a reluctant smile hidden just beneath the surface.  “It’s from the three barely legal ladies down at the end.”  I nod in their direction and all three smile broadly and wave.
“Well, that’s disappointing.”
I arch an eyebrow.  “Those three women buying you a drink with a name that tells you what their plans are for you later is a disappointment?”
“I thought you were buying me the drink.”
Cheesy, I know, but there’s a flutter in my stomach nonetheless. “Sorry.  But you get the Doublemint triplets as a consolation prize.”  I shrug, trying to come off nonchalant, and turn to walk away.  This close to him, the guy is making me fidget.  It’s a big bar, but the way he looks at me makes me feel like we’re in a confined space.
“Wait,” he calls after me, and I turn back.  “What’s your name?”
I smile and point at the sign over the bar.  Lucky’s.

MY REVIEW:

I received this book as an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

I give Beat 5 stars.

I knew it was gonna be a great book before I even read it, because Vi wrote it. She never seems to disappoint.

The loved all the characters, the plot, the atmosphere, the way she keeps you interested with wanting to get to the end, to see WTH she had in store for these characters.

Lucky was one awesome chick. Lucky was, well, she was frickin lucky. She had two rocks stars to choose from. And her choice was exactly what I was hoping it would be. She was a great person, I loved  her from the beginning.
I was so ecstatic when she came clean, but honestly I was like hurry frickin up already, lol. Only because of the reason why, the choice she made.

Dylan was, ahhhhh, he was ok, yep just ok. Waited a little to late to try to make something right, but guess it doesn't matter when the chemistry isn't there, it just isn't.  But the Jamie crap, every time they go through Vegas, well umm, I still think that should have came out, I wanted Lucky to know that so bad. So I was a little disappointed it wasn't revealed.

Flynn was frickin awesome, he was everything you would look for in a guy. When a guy notices things about you, even the smallest of things, it makes a girls heart smile big big. How he kept the dark chocolate stocked, but then stocked with kisses, yea that was swoon worthy. But Flynn was just HOT, thoughtful, caring, loving, adorable, sexy, yea, he was the whole package. Yummyyyyyy.
Thank you Vi for trusting me with another ARC, I greatly appreciate it.
And once again you knocked it out the ball park, loved this book.

BREAK ME

BREAK ME
by: Ashley Christin

Synopsis:

Returning back for the spring semester of college, Brealynn and her best friend, Kelsey, are ready to start a new chapter.

After the loss of their mother, Pro BMX rider Colt Taylor and his brother, Parker, hope to rebuild their lives by concentrating on competitions.
 One night brings them together.
One night shatters it all.
Can they survive the break?

Excerpt:

As I round the corner, I run right into a solid chest and fall backwards, landing ungracefully on my ass.
 How. Freaking. Embarrassing.

“Whoa! Are you okay?” a deep voice drawls.
 I’m scared to look up.
 “Yeah – I - I’m fine. Sorry,” I stutter to his tan flip-flop feet.
“Crashes happen every day. You should really take a defensive walking course, though,” his voice full of humor rumbles through me and shakes my whole being.
I slowly look him over, sweeping my gaze from his feet up his bare tan legs, to a navy blue towel hung very, very low on his hips. I follow the V-line up where it blends into a firm six pack, and then to the amazing chest I just ran into. He has the most incredible sleeve that snakes up his arm, and wraps around his shoulder and probably continues onto his back like it does his chest, which is lean muscle toned to perfection.
I’m horrified by the time I look at his face, for many reasons. One being, I just ran smack into him and landed on my ass. Two, by the cocky grin that is on his face, he totally just caught me checking him out. Three, I’m staring into the warmest set of brown eyes I’ve ever seen.
He squats down to my level and offers me his hand. I’m totally distracted by the intricate details of his tattoo, the black and orange combination of artwork that starts at his wrist and travels upward.  Colorful designs, one being a bike chain, stands out as it waves across his forearm.
I want to trace each one with my finger…or tongue. Either one. It doesn’t matter.
Gah! What is going on with me?
I’m drooling over someone I don’t even really know. He clears his throat and redness spreads over my cheeks as I realize his hand has been extended for quite a while. I grasp his hand as he helps me stand. Not releasing his grip, he introduces himself—not that he needed to.
“I’m Colt Taylor.”
I am feeling a little lightheaded, and I don’t know if it is from the fall, his touch, or his stare.

“I-I’m Brealynn. I’m sorry about that, Colt,” I say, a little breathless.
Damn girl, get a hold of yourself!
“Not a problem. I got to meet a beautiful girl.” He flashes a straight white smile that contrasts against his sun-tanned skin. As if in deep thought, he stares at me a minute too long. “Did you enjoy your break?” He tilts his head slightly.
I’m lost in thought again checking out this gorgeous man. Colt’s grin is holding the sexiest pair of dimples in place. His hair is styled into a wet perfect mess of a faux hawk. He should be illegal. I feel a slight tug on my hand and snap back to the conversation.
“I – um – good?”
I really need to pay attention.
I haven’t ever really talked to Colt. There have been glances here and there, but that was the beginning of freshman year. Then, he was gone for over six months … I would have remembered any words with this man.
“You don’t seem so sure. Who put the clouds in those beautiful eyes of yours?” He is currently rubbing circles slowly around my hand. I don’t realize that we have closed our distance to one another until I can feel his breath on my face, his eyes seeing into my soul.
“Today’s forecast is clear. That’s all you need to know.” I step back with a smile on my face. Where this bout of courage came from, I have no idea. The fact that he notices something is on my mind, means nothing.
I’m serious. It doesn’t.

I’m a shitty liar.
“Well, I love the sunshine, if you ever want to come outside and play.”
“I’ll consider it.”
And I will.
“Please do. I know I will be thinking about you coming…probably when I am lying in my bed at night.” He shrugs and winks while releasing the hold he had on my hand.
“See you around, Brealynn.”
I just stand there dazed as he walks off down the hall. As he lays where? What?
Damn.

MY REVIEW:

It's the first in a series. (TBX#1)
Dual POV
I was given this book as an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Colt - Well, where do I start?! Poor boy had it rough for a while, he went to the dark side, with a loss like that, he was lost. His biggest fan gone in an instant. Leaving town for a while helped heal the wounds, are so he thought it was a good idea at the time (only thing I'm saying about their dad, he is a piece of garbage).
Colt has always been a player, that's all he's ever known, until his eyes land on Brealynn; then things change. He changes, into someone he doesn't recognize (in a good way of course).
Colt has it all, fame, money, looks, and not everyone see's him for him, and those people he really could careless about. Every girl who passes him wants him, only a few who haven't had him yet. lol.  Then even those want another taste.
But deep down what most of them don't know, he has a huge, loving heart. It's time he realizes it as well.

Brealynn - known as a good, smart, sweet, got it together and takes no crap kind of girl. Brea is just to good for her own good. Always worried about her friends, and taking care of everyone. Brea has a good heart, that luckily for Colt is very forgiving. She is always on her guard, since she got burnt once from the snake himself. Which by the way, leaving him was one of her finer moments. A step in her life she should never regret. I envied her for being so natrual all the time when he would come over. She didn't care that she didn't have on make-up, are her hair fixed. What you saw was what you got. She was a great character. I adored her.

Kelsey - best friend and room mate. The figure of speech between Kelsey and Brea, is different but in a good way, it's unique, and I love it.
Kelsey can come up with so many things that is hilarious, almost makes me want to store them some where in my brain, for future use, LOL
Especially the part when she came in and Brea asked where she been, and one of her responses were "Colt's penis saluting me". I about died. HAHAHAHA Even worse when you get her drunk. O-M-G, what a firecracker!!!!
She is probably one of the coolest chics, in all the books I have read!
And what she did in the end with  Alex, OMG- I thought that was great. She's just a bat-shit crazy type of girl, and I love her :)
"I'm always two things. Right and awesome. Don't forget either."

Tim - Well everyone liked Tim, he is a very people-person type of guy, who is a father hen over everyone, especially the girls.

Nick & Alex - Well they are both DOGS.  He's a self-centered, cheating, no good for nothing rodent.  She is a nasty, slore (slut & whore per/Brea and Kelsey) who wants everything she can't have, and will stop at nothing to get it. End of story!

Savannah & Hannah - They are also comical. Great girls.

Parker - Colt's brother. Another player, he likes to F-em and then leave-em; I think until he meets his match. But he as well as Colt had it rough for a while. They just grieved in their own way.

Sure hopeing part 2 of the TBX series will be about Parker and Kelsey, with more on Colt and Brealynn.

Great writing. I will be looking for more from Ashley Christin
