Unable To Resist

UNABLE TO RESIST
by: Cassie Graham

Synopsis:
Ann is haunted by a past that won’t let go. The secrets lurking in Arizona are too much to handle, making a move to Nashville her best chance of survival. Her bakery is enough to keep her mind busy during the day, but the night brings nightmares that threaten to rip her in two. Tired of just living life rather than experiencing it, she’s ready to fight her demons and emerge the victor.
Only—she doesn’t know how to do that alone.
Duane has a lot on his plate. A lawyer for a prestigious law firm and a ranch owner, he hardly has enough time to breathe, let alone date. But all of that changes when he meets Ann.
A chance encounter at a bar brings them together, but it’s fate that shoves them into each other’s lives for reasons they will soon unveil together.
Can Ann open her heart and let Duane in?
Unable to Resist is a story about love, loss and finding healing in unlikely places.

About Cassie:

Cassie Graham is first and foremost, a wife and mother. She has one crazy daughter and a just as nutters husband that she loves dearly. She lives in sunny--all be it, scorching Arizona, where the summers are ridiculously hot and the winters are perfection. She'd pick winter any day.
Cassie went to school to be a teacher, but quit to become a proud military wife in 2010. During that time, she found her passion to write. Being a loud and proud choir girl in school, she needed another creative outlet and writing seemed like the perfect fit.
Reading has been a constant in her life, but she does admit that reading Twilight in high school really started her obsession. When she turned 20, her obsession grew and she discovered the New Adult/Romance fiction genre, and she's never looked back.
If Cassie isn't writing, she's more than likely cooking for her family or has her nose buried deep in a book. She finds inspiration in all things. Movies, music, and life fuel her characters’ lives, and she wouldn't have it any other way.
She began brainstorming her debut novel, Unable to Resist, in 2011 and it became reality in 2013. It'll be released in June of 2014.

MY REVIEW:
I received this book as an ARC, for an exchange of an honest review.

I give Unable To Resist 5+ swooning stars.

I absolutely loved this book. I only regret not knowing about it sooner. It was one of the best books I've read.
The characters were awesome. I loved them all. Duane is just ahhhhhh, to die for, sexy as hell, H-O-T, big hearted, loyale, loving, wonderful all around southern charming guy. He had it all, but was still losing something, and didn't realize what it was until Ann came along. And she was perfect as can be. She was everything he wanted that he didn't know he needed; and now cannot live without.
Now THAT is the kinda love we all wish for. He had so many great talents, and experience. I mean a lawyer, a cowboy, and song writer, singer, the looks, and the body. Like hot damn!!!!!!

Ann was also a great character, she went through so much that not to many people could have done, but she was a strong, warm hearted, fiesty, devoted, beautiful girl, who took off, and started over all alone, except she found a great friend to do it with; and she accomplished everything she was going for. She was so conservative, quiet, and overly friendly UNTIL you pissed her off. Then holy hell mother of god, do i feel sorry for you. As in the barbie ex-girlfriend. I wish she could have gotten her hands on her though!!
Now the best friend and brother, are also having there happliy ever after, right across from Duane and Ann, which I think is just fricken awesome. Two great, respectful southern gentlemen. How did they ever get so lucky!!!!
With both of there families growing are like dreams coming true. And that my friends is how it ended.
It was just amazing. I loved the book, and I'm so glad it didn't have all that cheating going on, it was just perfect!!!

COME SUNDOWN

COME SUNDOWN
by: Chelsea Landon

Synopsis:

Erin Evans is the kind of girl no guy wants to be in a relationship with. She’s controlling and never backs down when she thinks she’s right.
Knowing this, and rightfully fearing her last few years in her twenties will be like the last five, she looks for some adventure.

That’s when her best friend convinces her to go on vacation with her to the Bahamas.
On the land of white sand, coconut rum, and a cloudless sky, what she never expects is to meet Tyler Weston, a local bar tender with a sweet tongue for the pretty girls. He’s tattooed, entertaining, and living the dream in paradise as he sets her drinks and world on fire.
As the moon lights the city, Erin unexpectedly becomes infatuated with Tyler and his bartending skills when he offers her a challenge to try his Black Magic drink.
With a mission to now try every drink on the menu, one night she can barely remember turns into two weeks of exciting possibilities she never saw coming.
Can Erin put aside her cynical side and let the dirty mouthed bartender show her what island life is really like?

MY REVIEW:

I give this book 5 Stars!!!

I received this book an as ARC in exchange for an honest review.
This was a really good book, I enjoyed it so much, I almost finished it in one day, had I was feeling better.
The story was great, the characters were even better. I'm sure alot of woman went crazy over Tyler, I mean who wouldn't?!!!!
Their story was just awesome, and the way Erin did the whole 360 turnaround was awesome.
I think I would have done the same thing, had I was in that situation.
There is just so much I can say about this book, but if I get started, I will ruin it for you, because I will not beable to stop.
It is a great book to take to the beach for the day.
I wish I could type everything that is going through my head about this book, but it's like everywhere. I hated for it to end. I am looking forward to the next one in the series, I'm sure it will be just as great as this one.
Cannot wait for #2, please hurry :)

MY REVIEW:

I received this book as an ARC for exchange of an honest review.

I give this book 5 heart wrenching stars.

Beverley Hollowed- you have totally out did yourself this time, although all your books are great, this one I LOVED. You hit this one right out the ball park.

The characters were amazing, loving, and perfect in this eye opening, tissue grabbing, perfect kinda book.

I think Callum was just OMG in every damn way a man could ever be in. Kate was also a really good character, with all the heartache, regret, self-blaming, and loneliness she was feeling, she still was an awesome wife, and mother. They both made some bad choices, but what mattered more was that they always found their way back to each other, especially when it counted the most.

Sometimes things happen for a reason, and we aren't supposed to question these things, but we are only human, that is the only thing we know to do. And you sometimes have to hit rock bottom, to be able to find your way back to the top, and that's what happen to Callum and Katie. The love they had for each other was ever-lasting. It's the kind of love that every woman wishes for, for herself and her children.

Finn Morgan was also a great man. I can see how she found herself stuck in a rut. I think I would have been as confused as she was. You just can'y find good men like that anymore, and then to have two of them, and either one she wanted, WOW.

In the end, she made the best decision she could have ever made. I just can't express how much I enjoyed this book.
And then James locating close to them, is also just awesome.
This book could not have ended any better than it did, that was a perfect ending.

Hoping for another one, maybe James and Ollie? LOL- who knows, but if there is another one, I hope we hear more about Callum and his Katie :)))) ***(hint hint)***

I am so honored to have been able to read it so soon.

Make sure you add this to your to-read, and watch for it on July 3, 2014.
This is one book you wouldn't want to miss. If you haven't read any of Beverley's other books, then shame on you, and go read them while you wait for this one; because they are all good.

THANK YOU BEVERLEY HOLLOWED for another great book, and ARC.
YOU are amazing at what you do, even with everyday life struggles that we go through, you still find time in your busy life, to write good books and keep a great imagination, and it shows, the way your poor it all into your work, with all the wonderful novels you have written.
