GABLE

GABLE
by: Harper Bentley

SYNOPSIS:
Gable Powers had all the makings of everything my father had ever warned me about: a reputation that was anything but stellar, a dirty mouth that had me shivering at the things he uttered in my ear, and a body (oh, God, that body) that was covered in tattoos, all of which added up to a solid ten-point-oh on the bad-boy scale.
The first time I met him, I instantly loathed him.
The second time was even worse.
He was a jerk. He was an ass.
He had secrets.
He was nothing I thought I ever wanted.
So why couldn’t I resist him?
New adult. Not recommended for readers under 17.
Title: Gable (The Powers That Be #1)

MY REVIEW:

I received this book as a ARC, in exchange for an honest review.  And also to participate in the Book Blitz.

I'm glad I did. This was a really good book, I enjoyed Gable.
He knew he was God's gift to woman, and had no trouble letting the ladies know, that he knew exactly how hot he was. He is what you would call "stuck on yourself". But for some reason that didn't phase me with Gable. I liked everything about him. He was a ladies man, and he didn't try to keep it under cover. So you knew what you were getting when you got with him. And it was just a bonus that he was also smart, independent, tone, blessed, and had a funny side to him as well.
And besides he had a cool name, lol
Scout had a cool name as well. I really like her. She has her crap together, she's fisty (badass), she takes care of herself. Which to me is a big plus, I have always told my girls to get a good education, and to NEVER depend on a man. Some of these female characters enjoy that, but not Scout, so I respect her for that.
Them together was perfect. Although at first he was being an ass, like when he was behind the building at work, with the skank. That pat made me want to punch him in the face. Whether Scout liked him or not, he was just being an ass.

Glad he found what was missing, and what he needed, and Scout gave him another chance. Because I was second guessing if he really knew the pen pal was her the night they got together, because that would have been all kinds of messed up if he really didn't know it was Scout. That was the only other time I wanted to punch him, haha

This was an enjoyable read, and I am looking forward to some others in the series.
Thanks for the ARC.

MY REVIEW:

I give this book 5+ stars.
I received this book as a ARC in exchange for an honest review.

I am not one for my review to say what the whole book is about, but I will say, it was fricking awesome. And if you haven’t read “Taming Jack” yet, then go read that one first. It will help you understand the struggle these characters have fought through, and make you fall even more in love with Jack and Mia.

I really love Jack and Mia. They were just made for each other. They both been through more than anyone should go through in a life time. Took lots of sweat and tears, but it was worth it all. They have this great chemistry with each other, like no other. They know what each other is thinking before it’s even spoken. They have comfortable silence, and some seriously H-O-T love scenes.

They have amazing friends, a great brother, a shitty mother, and an understanding father. But most important, they have each other.

I was like”go Mia- go Mia”, when she finally stood up to that hateful mother of hers. But in the end, Mia was the bigger person, and just acted like nothing happened. Which honestly, that made her a better person than me, because I think I still would have not been understanding, after all the years of mental abuse.

TJ- well let’s just say, he was a hero, he saved them from so much mess that was about to take place. In my eyes, TJ is frickin awesome!!!! I think Jack and Mia thinks so as well, seems he has a great job now :)

I am so glad that Mia, Jack and Alex finally got there happy ever after, like everyone else. It wasn’t easy, but what is when it’s worth it, right?!

Beverley has become one of my favorite authors, and I will ready ANYTHING she ever writes, because her writing draws me in, captivates me, drives me mad, sad, then makes me happy, and spits me out. So many feelings and emotions going on, just the way I like it.

Thanks Bev, for yet ANOTHER awesome book. You never seem to amaze me with your skills.
